Ramie Stage Back

Stage Back for getting good fibre yield

The growth of winter crop is retarded and not uniform and the canes are not suitable for fibre extraction. Hence the winter crop is cut in end of February to March depending upon temperature, close to ground for uniform growth of subsequent crop. This operation is called ‘stage back’ and is extremely important for getting good fibre yield in subsequent cuts.
